Miscarriage & Abortion Support Training

Full Spectrum Pregnancy Release :

Miscarriage & Abortion Support Training

for

Doulas & Practitioners

All pregnancy experiences deserve respect, community, support, and dialogue.

The truth is, not all pregnancies end in birth.

This two day workshop is an advanced practitioner training for doulas, midwives, doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, social service providers, and community advocates. This offering was created to educate and empower those who wish to nurture women through pregnancy loss and termination experiences with respect for the process of healing an integrated and whole person: mind, body, and spirit.

We will first establish a foundation of anatomy and physiology education and gain a deeper understanding of a multitude of both spontaneous and deliberate pregnancy release processes, including first and second trimester losses, terminations by a variety of methods at all gestations, missed abortions, miscarriages, and others. Upon this physiology-based foundation we will build skills and expand knowledge by exploring a robust variety of options for holistic healing.

We will answer the following questions and more:

*How do people experience abortions and miscarriages in all their varieties?

*What foods, plant medicines, and other practical choices facilitate physical healing?

*How can we support people with spirituality, ritual, and ceremony?

*How do we offer excellent compassionate, non-jugdmental, non-medical & heart centered attention?
*What natural pain coping techniques such as visualization, massage, breathing, mantras, & other ‘doula tools’ are useful in support of all pregnancy releases?
*How can we help women identify & express their feelings, values, & intentions?

*How can we encourage a healing experience through the abortion or miscarriage?

Participants will come away with:

*An opportunity to examine their own feelings, values, and intentions in an intentional safe space

*A wealth of resources including hotlines, healers, books, & websites
*Perspective on what’s normal, what needs extra support, and how to offer this support

*Space to process their own losses, if applicable
